Photography 101

Hello hello hello!

Thanks to all the Fatties out there (you know who you are) that have given me some very constructive tips on how to better improve my MellyJoCo appearance both on etsy.com and blogger.com. I REALLY appreciate it!

Thanks also to www.ehow.com for giving me some good tips on how to shoot my items in a better light (ha! See what I did there?). Hopefully my view-ability has improved at least a little.

It's a work in progress... aren't we all?

Visit my etsy page to see what else I've done!

Featured Pet

Barnaby!!!
Breed: Terrier Secondary Breed: Miniature Schnauzer
Gender: Male Age: Senior
Size: (Unknown) Altered: Yes
Date Received: 01/27/2012 Record No.: 12096

How cute it this fella?! What a doll. Schnauzers are known for their longevity and senior animals are just as wonderful as the yummiest, fuzziest of puppies. Visit the Ingham County Animal Control website for more information.

Barnaby was found in Lansing wearing a red plaid coat and dragging a red leash. Not sure what happened to his owner. He is an older dog that would probably do best in a quiet home. He did not appreciate a puppy batting at him, which is totally understandable! When introduced to a cat he was more interested in the cat's food than the cat. He likes to be near people and would make a great companion! Color Code - Green

A Shelter is Chosen!

Hey Fatties~

"Fatties" is my term of endearment for Fat Louie Fund followers. I'm sorry if you find it insulting but Louie never complained about being called fat so neither can you (wink).

I have selected a shelter to receive my donations via the Fat Louie Fund!

The Ingham County Animal Control consists of sixteen staff members tasked to enforce state and county animal laws and to help and protect both animals and its citizens. Each deputy is sworn in by the Ingham County Sheriff to enforce the laws pertaining to animals in the State of Michigan and the Ingham County Animal Control Ordinance. Officers are assigned to one of three different shifts. Animal control officers in Ingham County will respond to an average of 8000 citizen complaints in over 500 square miles of the county. Officers investigate animal welfare complaints, vicious dog calls, bite reports and they patrol over 500 square miles of the county for complaints of dogs at-large; reports of dangerous or vicious dogs and enforcement of the dog licensing law. During shelter hours officers respond to emergency calls for injured animals needing medical attention and investigate animal cruelty complaints. Officers also serve as educators in the community on topics of responsible pet ownership through various department programs promoting humane and responsible care of domestic animals.

Visit the Ingham Country Animal Control & Shelter to view its current residence in need of homes or to donate directly!
